Sports nutrition seminar June 4

MANILA, Philippines - LAN Sports and Events launches its 2011 Sports Science Initiatives (SSI) seminar series on June 4 at the Makati Metro Club with a full-day workshop on Sports Nutrition with internationally recognized and veteran sports nutritionist Sanirose Orbeta, MS, RN, FADA, together with other resource speakers.

“Last year, we did a series of seminars but more on the overview of different aspects of sports science, for this year’s series, we will focus on each area and in the case of sports nutrition, the objective is to enable participants to design on their own a balanced menu plan for their athletes or clients,” said Niño Sinco, who holds a master’s degree in sports science from the United States Sports Academy. He is also the program director for the SSI seminar series sponsored by Phiten, Cramer Sports, Gatorade, GSSI, and Otto Bock.

Sinco will also be talking on the subject of hydration and performance while Naira Orbeta tackles the psychology of eating, the elder Orbeta will handle menu planning and menu design.
