Manila, Philippines - Joint leaders Cobra and FCA clash today in a key match among the top contenders for the outright quarterfinal berths in Group B as action in the classification round of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup resumes today at the San Juan gym.
Tied with Cebuana Lhuillier and Max! Bond Super Glue at 3-1, the Ironmen and Cultivators tangled at 4 p.m. with the winner zeroing on the first of two outright quarters seats.
In Group A play, Pharex (2-3) hopes to end a three-game skid as it battles Freego Jeans (1-3) at 2 p.m.
“Cobra is a tough team. They have a deep bench. We’ll just have to try our best to match-up with them,” said FCA coach Arsenio Dysangco.
The Cultivators are looking for their fourth win in five games and second straight after beating winless Café France, 89-82, last week. But they will without top forward Alfred Gerilla, who was suspended for one game for a flagrant foul penalty against Café France.
