LAS VEGAS – Manny Pacquiao could have tipped the scales with his clothes on Friday, and still he could have made the weight.

Yes, easily.

As expected, the short but not necessarily small champion from the Philippines came in two pounds lighter than the limit of 147.

Shane Mosley, the challenger, came in right on the dot, with his white Calvin Klein boxer briefs and a pair of white sox on.

There were no surprises during the weigh-in.

The huge crowd that came, estimated at more than 6,500, cheered wildly after both fighters were cleared, like the fans couldn’t wait for the opening bell.

Mosley was first on the scales, and once he made it, with eager eyes around him, he quickly got off, and slipped into his retro track suit.

Pacquiao hopped on and was already flexing his muscles even before his official weight was announced. He didn’t even have to stare at the numbers.

He knew he was well under the limit, and was said to have enjoyed a big meal earlier in the day.

Standing just in front of the stage was Pacquiao’s lovely wife, Jinkee, who tried to keep a serious look on her face.

People can’t help but notice her red shoes with heels probably six inches tall, and her white Birkin, the bag any woman would die for.

Pacquiao and Mosley traded smiles when they faced off before the clicking cameras, and Pacquiao found it too hard to put on his game face.

Their faces just inches apart, Pacquiao failed to keep from laughing, and Mosley had to hold him back with his left hand as the former tried to walk away.

“We respect each other,” said Mosley, who looked more ripped than Pacquiao.

In the few times they’ve been together, during all the promotional engagements, Pacquiao and Mosley seemed to have developed a liking for each other.

Mosley, in fact, admitted that he’d already gotten an invitation from Pacquiao to visit the Philippines one day.

He said he would, regardless of what happens in the fight.

“I might go down there and have a vacation, whatever happens. I have lots of fans there,” Mosley said.

The weigh-in lasted no more than 10 minutes, including the introduction.

When it was over, the crowd started to disappear, just so happy that the fight is on.
