Magnolia rapid chess resumes at Better Living

Manila, Philippines - The first Saturday-Magnolia Beverages rapid chess tournament resumes tomorrow with a big field expected to vie for top honors at Perez Bldg., Doûa Soledad St., cor. Australia St. in Better Living, Parañaque.

The 40th edition of the weekly tournament is open to all untitled and rated players with club rapid rating not exceeding 1950.

Up for grabs are the P3,000 plus trophy for the winner and P2,000 and P1,000 for the second and third placers, respectively.

Category winners (top senior, top college, top high school, top elementary, and top female) will also receive cash prizes each plus trophy.

The event is organized by Barangay Don Bosco Chess Club, headed by Dr. Bong Perez, and sponsored by NCFP sec-gen and Tagaytay City Mayor Bambol Tolentino, Rep. Roilo Golez, Kagawad Chona Navarro, Councilor Racquel Gabriel, Lewis of ABC Foundation, Cash and Carry, Hector Tagaysay of Filway Marketing, Boy Francisco and Magnolia Health Drinks.

Registration fee is P250 (regular) and P150 (kiddies).
