Free golf lessons for kids at GDAP summer show
Manila, Philippines - In line with the association’s thrust to promote golf to kids and to encourage them to get into the sport, Golf Distributors Association of the Philippines will offer free golf lessons to kids aged 5-12 years with zero golf knowledge.
“Through this activity, we are hoping that more kids will be interested to learn golf and eventually be committed to pursue training,” says GDAP president Raymund Atendido.
The introductory golf program called “Kids Golf Party” will serve as one of the event highlights of the GDAP Summer Golfshow at the NBC Tent on May 7 and 8.
The program, to be facilitated by US-certified and British PGA professionals, will consist of three parts – lecture, hitting and putting.
“We make sure it’s going to be a fun learning experience for all the kids especially with the new golf equipment we will be using. We trust that this program will inspire them to continue training and practicing even after the event. And we are hopeful this program will help produce future golf champions,” says British PGA David Clayton.
Participants will have the chance to hit balls using junior golf sets from GDAP members who will also offer great deals to those who will buy golf sets at the golfshow.
Slots are limited to the first 100 kids to register for each day. Interested kids must pre-register by downloading a form at www.gdap.org <http://www.gdap.org> or www.golfmix.ph <http://www.golfmix.ph> and email to [email protected].
