Boysen rules ABC Sponsors Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Jeffrey Cham, Malou del Rosario and Ryan Jalandoon of Boysen Suede combined for 2415 pinfalls to grab the team of the week honors in the Architects Bowling Club’s fourth week of Sponsors Cup at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Duraflex THW Wires, composed of Jimmy Ocampo, Albert Ong and Joey del Rosario, pooled 2414 for second while Tony Naval, Buddy Segui and Edwin Laguitan of August Alliance assembled 2412 to finish third in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Dante Manglicmot of Crown Pipes Supreme annexed the Bowler of the Week plum with 860 pinfalls.

Meanwhile, ABC Phils. now leads the event with 38 points followed by Famcor Glassworks with 36 points while Crown Supreme Pipes and Boysen Perlecente are tied for third with 34 points.

Rounding up the top 10 are Boysen Knoxout, Morning Sun, Duraflex TW Wires and Firefly-Royu with identical 28 points and Unitec Pipes and Duraflex THW Wires tote 24 points apiece.

The tournament, backed by Pro Active Pest Control, Concrete Ventures, HCG Phils., Miraga Trading, Eurodach, Boysen Titan, Philflex Wires, DN Steel, Moldex Pipes, Homeworks, Atlanta Pipes, Emerald Pipes, Nation Paints, Duraflex TW Wires and Philflex Wires and Cables, resumes at 7 tonight with the holding of the fifth Sponsors Cup, also at the Green Valley lanes.
