MANILA, Philippines - The country’s leading junior netters and rising stars up north meet in Baguio two weeks from now as they vie for top honors in various divisions in the 16th edition of the Juntaphil Cup slated April 26-May 1 at the Baguio Tennis Club outdoor courts in Burnham Park.
The Baguio meet is the first of two tournaments slated this summer with the organizing Junior Tennis Association of the Phils. (Juntaphil) expecting a huge field to compete in the six-day event, including those from the Ilocos region and northern provinces.
The Juntaphil Summer Circuit is sponsored by First Gen Corporation and Smart Communications with Techni-fibre Balls, APM-Agricom, Pet-One, Accel, Kimura Chaves and Friends of Juntaphil as backers.
Players from Central Luzon as well as Metro Manila are also expected to troop to Baguio to dispute the crowns in the 10-and-under unisex, 12-, 14-, 16-, 18-under and 21-under age groups for boys and girls singles.
Deadline for listup is today at 12 noon. Entries will also be accepted at the Philta office at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center in Manila and the Baguio Tennis Club in Baguio City.
