MANILA, Philippines - Pharex shoots for its third straight win as it plays PC Gilmore while Maynilad seeks its second victory in three games against winless Café France in the PBL D-League Foundation Cup at Lyceum gym today.
The Bidang Generix hope to come out strong from a two-week rest as they try to score with a follow up to their 79-74 win over NLEX last March 22 in Group A.
But Pharex coach Gian Carlo Tan remains wary of their rivals, saying PC Gilmore presents a unique challenge.
“They play multiple defense and force you to find the opening,” said Tan. “So we need to contain their guards and pay attention to their post.”
PC Gilmore dropped its opening game assignment to RnW Pacific Pipes, 72-76, but rebounded with an 81-72 victory over Freego Jeans.
Gametime is at 4 p.m.
Maynilad, meanwhile, goes up against Café France, looking to seize solo third in Group B.
