MANILA, Philippines - Assumption College of Davao and Holy Child School of Davao tallied second wins to share the lead in the Davao division of the SEAOIL National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Elite League at the Emcor Gym in Davao City recently.
Assumption led from start to finish to beat Emar Learning Center, 90-60. MVP candidate Alvin Pasaol and Vic Tarranza led Assumption with 18 points apiece while Jeoboy Lamanilao added 12 points in the tournament backed by B-Meg, Magnolia Inc., Magnolia Ice Cream, Purefoods Hormel, San Miguel Foods Inc (Monterey), San Mig Coffee and Molten.
Troy Sinen Mascarinas led Emar (0-2) with 11 points.
Title favorite Holy Child School of Davao used a slick running game and tough defense to demolish St. Peter’s College of Toril (0-2), 119-52.
Ian Vonn Kristoffer Restauro and Zairill Jules Carbonell led Holy Child with 12 points each while Erne Mar Cavite and Marck Anthony Virocel paced SPCT with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Meanwhile, Kendall Carlos fired 22 points as Ford Academy posted its first win in two games with an 80-66 win over Stella Maris Academy of Davao (1-1).
