Pharmaton Challenge bets endure tests

MANILA, Philippines - The Pharmaton MVP Challenge enters its second week in Guimaras, Iloilo with all participants still into their games after days of physical and mental activities on and off the road.

Five participants fought off pressure and stress of the grueling competition in Day 9 in Iloilo which featured a kayak race and a bike challenge from the Trappist Monastery all the way to Raymen Resort.

Swimming at the famed island resort and running from the Capitol Building to Jordan Hall and then at SM Iloilo, the designated pit stop, in the afternoon marked Day 10 of the event.

The following day, the challenge saw the participants cross to the province of Antique for another bike and kayak challenge before heading to Mindoro, where swimming and running were the leg’s highlights.

From Mindoro, the challenge continued through historic Mabini, Batangas for a round of scuba diving, swimming and biking.

Capping Week 2 was another kayak challenge at the Acacia Resort before the field headed to the pit stop in Talisay, Batangas.

“All the traveling and the changes in the environment add to the pressure in the game,” said top bet Anthony Cuerpo. “The fatigue is slowly setting in but we all manage to survive the second week of the competition.”

Joining Cuerpo in the battle for the coveted title and top P500,000 purse are TJ Isla, Benson Martinez, Popo Remigio and Monica Torres.

The second, third, fourth and fifth placers will receive P250,000, P150,000, P100,000 and P50,000, respectively.

Touted as the most unique endurance race, the month-long Pharmaton MVP Challenge was designed with daily mental and physical challenges to the participants as they traverse the country. The challenge is all about unleashing one’s full potential, just as Pharmaton enables one to be at his best through its potent Ginseng G11 content.
