Yakult opens 10-Miler listup centers
MANILA, Philippines – The ongoing list up for the Yakult 10 Miler slated on Sunday at the Cultural Center Complex shifts to high gear as registration is transferred to the McKinley Park Pavilion in North Greenhills, San Juan starting Monday from the Mizuno outlets at Trinoma Mall, SM Megamall and the Bonifacio High Street at the Bonifacio Global City. Registration hour is 1-5 p.m.
Organizers made the announcement in anticipation of high registration turnouts at the last minute at the Mizuno outlets. Registration ends March 24.
Registration fee is P300. A starters’ Yakult singlet is given upon registration and all finishers will receive a new Yakult singlet.
Rene Hererra and Maricel Maquilan topped last year’s staging in the 10-mile distance with a time of 53:21 and 1:05:14 respectively.
According to Michael Ong, Yakult Phils., Inc. manager for sales and planning, the 10-Miler champion will receive P7,500 with the first female finisher receiving the same cash award. The second placers will receive P3,000, third P2000, fourth P1000 and the fifth placers P500.
Trophies will also be awarded to the top three finishers while the fourth to fifth finishers will receive medals. In the 5K and 3K division, the top 3 finishers will receive medals. All awardees will also receive a Yakult gift pack.
The group with the biggest delegation will also receive a trophy and a Yakult gift pack.
The race on March 27 starts at the Vicente Sotto St. in the Cultural Center Complex and will use the southbound side of Roxas Blvd. from Vicente Sotto up to MIA road and the west lane of Gil Puyat Ave. from Roxas blvd. up to Filmore St. in Makati.
All participants are advised to be at the assembly area not later than 5 a.m. for check in and briefing. Race starts 5:30 a.m.
Supporting the organizers are the cities of Pasay, Paranaque and Makati, while traffic and crowd control are provided by NCRPO PNP TEG, MMDA and the local traffic enforcers of the cities where the race will pass.
Emergency One and Philippine Center for Sports Medicine are providing the emergency medical facilities for the race with the Spectrum Communications providing the race and route monitoring.
