MANILA, Philippines - The Marriage Encounter Foundation of the Philippines (MEFP) will hold its first ever running event for members, their families, and friends this Saturday at Bonifacio Global City.
Dubbed the MEFP Run for a Cause, the event aims to raise funds to set up a Disaster Relief Fund to aid MEFP communities in the event of another calamity.
“With everything that is going on in the world today, we would like to be ready to help communities immediately after a disaster affects them,” said MEFP president couple Robert-Tinette Aventajado.
“The P200 entry fee entitles participants to a special t-shirt. The fees will be the seed money for our fund. We are happy that our communities have banded together to support this project, and we expect at least 1,500 members, and their families and friends to participate.”
Registration is ongoing at the MEFP Office at the CEFAM Building, Ateneo de Manila University. For details, contact 426-4206.
“We are inviting all encountered couples, with their family and friends, to join us in our first ever MEFP Run for a Cause. You will be able to have fun, build camaraderie, and do a good deed, all in one morning,” Aventajado said.
Major sponsor San Miguel Corp. will be setting up booths to sample and sell San Mig Coffee Pro-Health, Magnolia Purewater, Magnolia Fruit Drink, Magnolia Health Tea, and Magnolia Lifedrink. Poccari Sweat will set up hydration stations for runners along the route.
Other supporters of the event are LPGMA (LPG Gas Marketer’s Association) and Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital.
