Del Rosario scores first perfect game

MANILA, Philippines - Architects Bowling Club president Noel del Rosario churned out a perfect 300 game to power the Emerald Vinyl squad of Charles Matiling, Freddie Adivoso and Mike Domingo to the championship with 3238 pinfalls in the ABC four-team event crown at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Del Rosario, who nearly missed the feat with a 298 effort last week, made 12 strikes on lane 17 to record his first perfect game.

Denis Jalandoon, Jerry Cham, Tony Sabater and Ariel Uy of Boysen Paints pooled a 3197 while the Duraflex team of Hermie Prudente, Albert Ong, Zeny Prudente and Ruben Mina assembled a 3146 to finish third in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

The tournament, backed by Concrete Ventures, Famcor, DN Steel, Boysen Konstruct/Knoxout/Virtuoso, Supreme Pipes Corp., Crown Pipes, ABC Phils., ProActive Pest Control, Euro Dach, Atlanta Pipes, Philflex Wires and Cables, Hocheng Phils., American Wires, Firefly-Royu and Unitec Pipes, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the Valentine’s doubles, also at the Green Valley lanes.
