Drag racing up at Clark

MANILA, Philippines –  Rain-soaked races of the 2011 National Drag Racing Championships-Petron Northern Series resume tomorrow at the Clark International Speedway in Angeles City.

Those interested to compete for the titles in the Expert, Sportsman and Hotstreet classes can still register for this event sponsored by Petron, supported by Yokohama Philippines, Chequered Flag, Racing Beat@Wave 89.1 FM, Aeromed, and sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philipines.

Qualifying rounds are set 7-9:30 a.m. New entries will be given three runs while those who registered in the last postponed race will be given one qualifying time trial run.

The Expert class race will immediately start at 9:30 a.m. to be followed by the Sportsman and Hotstreet races.

Participating teams in the series include Just Racing, Montavita, Lowtoys, Batangas Racing Team, Pit 21, Cabspeed, Mohspeed, Team Ready, and Ahra-Garage Power. Alps Racing, SE Racing, Forcespeed, Prodigy, Bladespeed, Step, Mymitsuph, Signal, HRE, Gulfspeed and other privateers.

Eyes will be on JCT-Blanche Racing bet Jonathan Young who aims to defend his crown in the Expert class for the fourth straight season.
