MANILA, Philippines - The Mango Tee committee will up the ante for the 27th staging of the Alabang Country Club’s much-awaited member-guest tournament by raffling off a Mitsubishi Lancer and a Club car exclusive to participants.
With a combined value of nearly a million pesos, the grand raffle prizes exclusive to participants will be on top of the hole-in-one and tournament prizes worth at least P5 million that the 768 members and guests will be shooting for in the six-day event slated Jan. 31-Feb. 5.
Practice rounds have begun for the 384 teams entered with the Mango Tee committee headed by Martin Lorenzo and Dennis Hernandez declaring it’s all systems go for the 27th Mango Tee co-presented by Pilipinas Shell, Smart Infinity and Pancake House.
Mitsubishi Motors Phils, Inc. and Citimotors are providing the cars for the hole-in-one on all four par-3s while Club Car, Turf Co./Texas Eagle and Kart Plaza/Yamaha are bundling the prize package with their carts.
Ushering in the event is the opening ceremonials this coming Saturday with the expected presence of former President Fidel V. Ramos and ACCI president Luis Morales together with the presidents and top officials of the main sponsors.
Golforce, Zesto Corp., Duty Free Phils, Bellevue, BPI Assets, Pacific Links and Gatorade are the major sponsors. Outback Steakhouse is sponsoring the cocktails and awards ceremony while the hole sponsors are Bayantel, Rockwell, Skycable, Security Bank, BPI, IS Mechanical/Kobelco Compressors, Loopex Packaging Products, Asian Hospital, Prudential Customs Brokerage, Perry’s Group, BJ Marthel International, Araneta Center, Inc, City Service, GG&A Club Shares, Total Nutrition Corp., Archipelago Phils.
