MANILA, Philippines - League-leading Far Eastern University survived an error-filled game to beat La Salle, 25-22, 25-22, 24-26, 25-23, and stay unbeaten in the UAAP Season 73 men’s volleyball tournament yesterday at The Arena.
The Tams committed 42 errors compared to 24 for the Archers throughout the 1:35 match but made up for it with their firepower, punching in 59 hits against DLSU’s 36.
Isidro Labrador Jr. pulled through with 23 kills and three points off blocks and Pitrus Paulo De Ocampo added 13 to lead the Morayta-based spikers to their eighth straight win, one up against defending champion University of Santo Tomas (7-1).

In the first game, Ateneo pounced on an erratic University of the East, 25-12, 25-17, 25-23, to improve to 3-5.
