MANILA, Philippines - Adamson prolonged the losing skein of Ateneo, running away with a 25-22, 26-24, 25-21 bashing of the Lady Eagles Wednesday in the UAAP Season 73 women’s volleyball tourney at The Arena in San Juan.
Skipper Angela Benting and veteran Pau Soriano punched in 16 points apiece, making 15 and 14 hits, respectively, as third-running Adamson improved to 3-2 and dealt Ateneo its third straight loss.
Angeline Geracio led the way with 14 for Ateneo, which dropped to 1-4 and solo seventh.
The Lady Falcons were joined at third spot in the standings by National University, which conquered University of the East, 25-18, 25-17, 20-25, 25-11, in the first game.
