MANILA, Philippines - A brand-new Mitsubishi Lancer EX GLX M/T and a Royal Caribbean cruise will be up for grabs as hole-in-one prizes in the Manila Southwoods Chairman’s Charity Cup which gets going this weekend at Southwoods’ Masters and Legends courses in Carmona, Cavite.
A banner field of 450 is expected to see action in the annual event to be played under the Modified Stableford scoring system with the awards rites set at the end of the two-day event at the Masters Verandah on Sunday.
The tournament, sponsored by Warbird Security and Investigation Agency. Inc. and PLDT, will have shotgun start tee offs at 7:30 a.m. at the Legends course and at 8 a.m. at the Masters on Saturday and Sunday.
Eli Malaya (low gross) and Doods Antipuesto (net) topped last year’s staging of the event with the duo tipped to lead this year’s cast again along with the other winners in the other divisions, including the ladies category.
The Mitsubishi car and the Alaska and Asian cruise, courtesy of Baron Travel, are two of the prizes staked for aces. Korean Airlines will also give away two business class tickets to Vancouver, Canada for a hole-in-one feat.
