Zubiri heads ABC tilt winners

MANILA, Philippines - Lito Zubiri of Duraflex turned in an eight-game series of 1746 to capture the Group I crown while Joey del Rosario of American Wires and Ricky Martinez of Conc. Ventures took the Groups 2 and 3 titles with 1453 and 1355, respectively, in the Architects Bowling Club’s quarterly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Ron Sy of SP&A scored 1658 while Eugene Panaguiton of Ta-tong had 1641 to finish second and third, respectively, in Group I, while Jimmy Ocampo of American Wires made a 1440 and Sonny Esguerra had a 1431 to place second and third, respectively, in Group 2.

Edna Beltran of Boysen Paints had a 1249 and Ariel Uy of Boysen Virtuoso made a 1247 for second and third, respectively, in Group 3 of the weekly event sponsored by Nation and Boysen Paints.

Meanwhile, ABC president Noel del Rosario is inviting all ABC sponsors and members to the group’s Christmas Party on Dec. 11 starting at 5 p.m. at Greenwich Clubhouse at the Corinthian Gardens in Quezon City.

Action in the event, backed by Famcor, DN Steel, Boysen Konstruct/Knoxout, Crown Pipes, Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., ABC Phils., ProActive Pest Control, Euro Dach, Atlanta Tiles, Philflex Wires and Cables, Hocheng Phils, Universal Tech/Pansun, Medwest Tech. Inst., Emerald Vinyl, Firefly-Royu and Unitec Pipes, resumes at 4 p.m. today for registration on the annual championship with games to start at 5 p.m., also at the Green Valley lanes.
