Solar unveils 24-hour NBA channel

-

MANILA, Philippines - Local basketball fans get a big dose of NBA action as Solar Entertainment unveiled the NBA Premium TV, the first locally operated NBA channel to provide 24-hour NBA content.

“I’m very excited because we’re bringing more NBA games to Filipinos,” said Martin David, business development manager for NBA Premium TV during the project’s press launch at MyCinema at Greenbelt 3 last Wednesday.

With NBA Premium TV, subscribers will enjoy over 400 unique regular season NBA games, including three NBA games from Sunday to Wednesday and two NBA games from Thursday to Saturday.

“We’re airing over 400 unique regular season NBA games, and that alone is already something to be excited about,” said David.

The NBA Premium TV is a product of Solar Entertainment’s partnership with Cignal Digital TV, Dream Satellite TV and Sky Cable, now among the official carriers of the channel along with some provincial operators.

The channel also features an all-access programming of top NBA events such as the NBA Tip-Off, 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend, Christmas Day games, the Playoffs, and the 2011 NBA Finals WNBA, the NBA greatest games and Summer League games in the off-season.

“Games are clearer, and there are more chances to see your favorite teams play because there are more games,” David said.

Subscriptions to NBA Premium TV is available through major cable and direct to home providers. For details, contact Cignal Digital TV at (632) 244-6251, Dream Sattelite TV at (632) 918-8000 or Skycable at (632) 631-0000.
