Kadchapanan tops Phinma tilt
MANILA, Philippines - Thai Nuttanon Kadchapanan dominated compatriot Nattan Benjasupawan from start to finish and came away with a 6-0, 6-0 rout yesterday to capture the Phinma Internationaj Junior Tennis Championship boys’ singles crown at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
The No. 2 Kadchapanan hardly worked out a sweat in his match with the seventh seeded Benjasupawan, fashioning out the easy victory which came a day after he struggled past Louis Donczyk of Poland in their three-set semifinal duel.
Kathinka Von Deichmann of Leichtenstein defeated Aldila Sutjiadi of Indonesia, 6-2, 6-3, to cop the crown in the girls’ side of the event presented by Phinma Properties and supported by the ITF Grand Slam Development Fund.
Von Deichmann bundled out Filipina Marinel Rudas in the quarterfinals then defeated American Desirae Krawczyk in the semis.
Meanwhile, Nathathai Khuntaket and Varunya Wongteanchai of Thailand repulsed Ekaterina Klyueva of Russia and Sanae Ota of Japan, 7-5, 7-5, to capture the girls’ doubles title.
