-

MANILA, Philippines –  Nuttanon Kadchapanan and Nattan Benjasupawan hurdled their respective semifinal rivals yesterday to arrange a showdown for the Phinma International Junior Tennis Championship crown at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.

Kadchapanan, seeded No.2 in the tournament presented by Phinma Properties and supported by the ITF Grand Slam Development Fund, survived Chung-Sheng Yu of Chinese Taipei, 7-6, 6-4.

Benjasupawan, on the other hand, outplayed Chih Chun Tang of Chinese Taipei in the second set, pulling off a 7-5, 6-2 victory in the other semis clash of the ITF ranking tour event.

Meanwhile, Kathinka Von Deichmann of Leichtenstein and Aldila Sutjiadi of Indonesia beat their respective opponents to set up their own title duel in the girls division.

Von Deichmann, who frustrated local bet Marinel Rudas in the quarterfinals, overcame American foe Desirae Krawczyk, 6-4, 6-4, while Sutjiadi bounced back from a first-set loss to upset second seed Siyu Qin of China, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
