MANILA, Philippines - San Beda-Alabang and Miriam College trounced their rivals in the 17-under competitive division of the Best Center’s Women’s Basketball League to stay on top of their groups unbeaten with three straight wins recently.
San Beda clobbered Assumption College, 61-52, to lead Group A, half-a game ahead of Assumption, which defeated Angelicum College, 58-48. New Era High School blasted La Salle College Antipolo, 61-56, in the other Group A game.
Miriam, meanwhile, scuttled Montessori Integrated School, 56-30, for the Group B lead.
In the 13-Under Division, it was Saint Pedro Poveda over Raises Montessori Academe, 48-11; La Salle-Zobel over St. Bridget School, 57-35; Miriam over Assumption Antipolo, 58-29; Miriam again over Southville International, 74-34; and Montessori Integrated School 52-44.
In the 25-Under Division, it was Assumption over UP-Diliman, 47-38; La Salle-Lipa over St. Scholastica’s College, 67-64; Philippine Women’s University of DonBoscoTechnicalCollege, 53-31; and Universityof Santo Tomasover University of Asia and the Pacific, 58-27.
