MANILA, Philippines - Eagle Ridge turned the final showdown into a grand homecoming, rampaging to an unchallenged victory in the Club of the Year competition of the 11th Sta. Lucia Tour which ended Saturday at the country’s biggest golf complex in Gen. Trias, Cavite.

Just like in the penultimate leg the day before, the Eagle Ridge bets went three-of-four in the Faldo and Norman course and improved their standing in another for a 53-point romp that was just too much for its nearest rival Rancho Palos Verdes.

At the end of the 108-hole tourney staged by Sta. Lucia Realty Development, Inc. in four major golf clubs around the country, Eagle had 192 points to run away with its fifth Club of the Year title. Palos Verdes placed a far second with 168.

The tandems of Moon Ho-lee and Joon kang (Group I), Munding del Rosario-Youn Hwan-an (Group 2) and Mario Lugay-Si Kun-ryoo (seniors) scored back-to-back wins at the Orchard and Eagle stops making up the Manila swing of the series to key the Eagle romp.

They also emerged the overall winners in their respective divisions, joined by Josue Tesado and Eugenio Serado Jr. of Palos Verdes who triumphed in Group 3.
