ISBB eye Passerelle, SBP titles
MANILA, Philippines - International School of Better Beginnings, representing Lucena, sent two teams into the Luzon Regional Finals of the BEST Center’s (Basketball Efficiency and Scientific Training Center) Small Basketeers Philippines-Passerelle Championships at the University of the Assumption gym in San Fernando, Pampanga recently.
ISBB trounced Divine Word Academy of Dagupan, 74-16, before it defeated University of the Cordilleras (Baguio), 46-40, to arrange a finals showdown with Don Bosco, which beat University of the Cordilleras, 46-40, for the SBP crown.
In the Passerelle Division, ISBB routed Don Bosco Academy, 73-36, then waited for Divine Word Academy to finish off its opponents to arrange their own pennant duel in this event sponsored by Milo.
The National Finals will be held Nov. 20-21 at the University of San Carlos’ North gym in Cebu.
