Wife Jinkee, Arum join Baguio camp
BAGUIO, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao yesterday stressed the need to stay focused with barely four weeks before he goes for a record eighth crown against Antonio Margarito in Dallas, Texas.
Pacquiao said the arrival of his wife, Jinkee, and Top Rank big boss Bob Arum will not in any way hamper his training and preparations for his Nov. 13 fight with the Mexican fighter.
But the Filipino boxing icon said he now needs full concentration and lots of mind conditioning as he steps up his buildup for the keenly awaited showdown.
Arum has scheduled a Media Day today which definitely would make Pacquiao’s schedule tight. He is also set to pay a courtesy call on the Baguio City Mayor’s Office early morning.
As of late yesterday, Pacquiao’s schedule has not been cancelled even with the impending entry of Typhoon Juan.
This week will definitely be another busy one for Team Pacquiao with Pacquiao set to resume his sparring tomorrow, hopefully with Amir Khan.
The British-Pakistani WBO world welterweight champion is also training here for his big fight in December.
