MANILA, Philippines - Rod Nazario’s In This Corner will have a special episode tonight as it airs for the first time Allan Tañada’s successful title defense of his Orient Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) super-featherweight belt against Japanese Rikiya Fukuhara recently.
The 12-round bout, shown over NBN 4 from 7-8 p.m., is presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol and Petron.
Tanada, a native of Ipil, Zamboanga, and Fukuhara fought for the vacant OPBF super-featherweight championship last Sept. 20 at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
As appetizers, previous fights by the rising Filipino boxing champion will also be aired.
First off the bat is Tanada’s showdown against Christian Abila, followed by his encounter opposite Randy Migrino.
