MANILA, Philippines - A total of 12 sports events will be disputed in the 2010 National Milo Little Olympics in Cagayan de Oro set Oct. 15-17.
Around 15,000 student athletes from schools across the country are going to show their wares and vie for honors in athletics, swimming, football, gymnastics, tennis, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, taekwondo, chess, sepak takraw and scrabble.
The Don Gregorio Pelaez Sports Center will be the site of the three-day event that spawned the likes of now national athletes Antoinette Rivero, Japoy Lizardo and Nica Calapatan.
“The Milo Little Olympics is part of our mission to impart positive values to children like sportsmanship, camaraderie, perseverance and teamwork, values that will help build champions in life,” said Milo sports events executive Pat Goc-Ong.
