Orduna vies in World ROK tourney in Italy

Joey Orduna: “Competing against the world’s best in the World ROK Championship is a big challenge, but I’ll give it the best I can.”

MANILA, Philippines - Studies may be his main concern for now but Karter of the Year Joey Orduna of Ready2Race quickly responded to a call of duty to represent the country in the forthcoming 2010 World ROK Championship slated Oct. 15-17 in Lonato, Italy.

His exceptional talent, nerves of steel and determination convinced Motorsports godfather Johnny Tan to include him in the lean five-man Philippine team competing for honors in the prestigious international competition.

“This is a big opportunity to show the world that Filipinos are equally talented in the field of karting. And as the reigning Philippine champion, it is but apt for Orduna to spearhead the country’s title campaign in this prestigious competition,” said Johnny Tan.

Joey, who will be vying for the World ROK Senior crown, was grateful to the trust given by Tan, assuring that he will do his best to deliver the laurel for the country.
