Arroyo, Mendoza rule NCA derby

MANILA, Philippines - Iggy Arroyo and Arnold Mendoza emerged champions in the second leg of the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) 6-Stag Derby last Sept. 21.

Their entry “Red Creek” won over all other stags for a whopping six points.

The second leg of the derby was hosted by Osang dela Cruz and Tommy Chua, Ruel Ricafort, James Uy, and Rene Medina.

Johnny Jalandoni’s “Star of Negros” was runner-up with five points.

“Deni” of the Batangas Group was also a winner with 4 1/2 points.

“Erwin” of Elmer Nepomuceno, “Goldquest Champions” of Dela Cruz, and “Oktoberfest Big Event 6-Stag Pasay Oct. 1” of Patrick Antonio scored four points.

“Jade Resort MBE Red 2” of Arman Santos and “Relaxamento” of Eric dela Rosa each had 3 1/2 points.

The third leg of the circuit is on Sept. 28. It will be hosted by Manny and Armand Santos, Ellan Nagaño, and Jun Mendoza.

The fourth derby will be on Oct. 12, to be hosted by Iggy Arroyo, Patrick Antonio, the Batangas Group, Efren Canlas, the Madlangbayan Brothers, the Jinco Brothers, and Jet Fernando and his son.

The last derby of the circuit will be on Oct. 19 and will be hosted by Gerry Ramos, Ricky Valencia, Boy Torres, and Ricky Magtoto.

The champion of the 2010 NCA Stag Derby Circuit will be crowned Stag Fighter of the Year.
