MANILA, Philippines – The ninth United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Golf Cup gets going on Oct. 18 with 150 players expected to clash for top honors in various divisions at the Sun Valley Golf Club in Antipolo City.
Two brand-new 2010 Chana Benni 1.3L M/T will be up for grabs as hole-in-one prizes in the one-day tournament.
The cars, however, will be raffled off if no player makes an ace. Fabulous raffle items will also be given away during the awards rites, according to organizing committee chair Adones Baluyut.
The event is backed by UAP national president Ramon Mendoza and immediate past national president Ana Mangalino-Ling. The tournament chairman is Simeon Tan while the ways and means committee is headed by Jose Siao Ling, with Wilson Sioco, Alejando Cua, Nilo Villanueva, Daniel Go, Eusthenes Lu as members.
The other officials are Joenel Kho (chair, finance), Eduardo Casares (co-chair, finance), Gene Arthur Go (chair, rules and regulations), Samuel Esguerra, Jr. (chair, scoring), Edgar Pasion (co-chair, scoring); Cipriano Cruz (chair, prizes and awards) and Jocelyn Arcenas (chair, press relations).
The UAP Golf Cup, launched in 2002 to help fund the completion of the UAP national headquarters, is sponsored by Davies Paints, Emerald Vinyl Corp. and Neltex Development Co. Inc. and backed by Atlanta Industries, Inc. and H-Chem Industries.
