Villanueva tops singles crown

MANILA, Philippines - Johnson Villanueva of Crown Pipes Supreme scored a six-game series of 1213 to bag the Architects Bowling Club’s catch-up singles circuit and all-events crown at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Ruben Mina of Duraflex Wires finished second with 1211 while Walter Villanueva of Crown Pipes rolled 1195 and Freddie Adivoso of Emerald Vinyl had 1188 to place third and fourth, respectively, in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Meanwhile, ABC president Noel del Rosario is inviting all licensed architects to join the event held every Tuesday.

Action in the event, backed by Unitec Pipes, SP&A, Firefly Royu, American Wires, Medwest Tech. Inst., Universal Tech./Pansun, Hocheng Phils., Philflex Wires and Cables, Atlanta Tiles, Euro Dach, Ta-tong, Pro Active Pest Control, ABC Phils., Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., Boysen Konstruct/Knoxout/Virtuoso, DN Steel, Famcor and Concrete Ventures, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the monthly championship, also at the Green Valley lanes.
