Murakami slips to 18th with 74

-

MANILA, Philippines - Artemio Murakami hobbled with a two-over 74 after a brilliant 68 as he tumbled from joint second to 18th place halfway through the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship (TPC) paced by Thai Thaworn Wiratchant at the Linkou International Golf Club in Taiwan yesterday.

Murakami bogeyed three of the last seven holes at the back to finish with two 37s for a 36-hole total of 142, six shots behind Wiratchant, who sizzled with a 67 for a 136.

That was one shot ahead of Malaysian Iain Steel, who had a 137 after a 69 while Aussie David Gleeson and Tsai Chi-huang had identical 138s after a 70 and 68, respectively.

The other RP bets also struggled in a tough day with Tony Lascuña also carding a 74 for a 147 and Gerald Rosales rebounding with a 71 to make the cut at 147.

Missing the cut were Angelo Que (75-148), Gene Bondoc (73-148), Jay Bayron (73-151) and Marvin Dumandan (71-151).
