Boni Global City holds Milo 3-in-1 fitness clinic
MANILA, Philippines - Bonifacio Global City, considered the country’s running mecca, will hold the Milo 3-in-1 APEX (Athletic Performance Enhancement Training) program starting Tuesday with Olympic trainer and program director coach Jim Saret conducting the clinic.
The three-month event ending Dec. 7 is a scientific training module designed to strengthen the body, train for stability and correct the running posture before building mileage in running.
Launched last week in elaborate rites, the clinic will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 5-7 a.m. infront of Runnr in B3 of Bonifacio High Street.
Registration is free with only the first 200 participants to be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Listup is at Runnr in Bonifacio High Street and Toby’s in Glorietta 4.
Each session starts with wellness, conditioning and strengthening lectures and exercises and ends with running practices.
The training is expected to make each participant – from beginners to experienced and advanced runners – feel and experience the exercises, teach and help each become a better runner and work through effective running drills to develop own running techniques.
Saret, who specializes in sports biomechanics, strength and conditioning training, athletic performance enhancement and sports injury prevention, works with the PBA teams, top national athletes and upcoming age-group champions.
Also in the staff are the country’s top runners, headed by Cris Sabal, Aileen Tolentino, Marecel Maquilan and Isidro Viladosal.
Co-presented by Bonifacio High Street, Market! Market! and Discovery Channel, the event is backed by St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City which will provide medical and wellness support, with Runnr and Toby’s Sports as the fitness and logistics partners.
