Tinga Cup boxing slated

MANILA, Philippines - No less than eight teams from all over the country will see action when the Cong. Freddie Tinga Cup unfolds tomorrow at the Cantada Sports Center in Taguig.

The three-day event, presented by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office with ZestAir, features upcoming fighters from the stables of Tagbilaran Mayor Dan Neri Lim, Puerto Princesa Mayor Edward Hagedorn, Misamis Oriental Gov. Oscar Moreno, Tony Aldeguer of Cebu, Monju Guanzon of Bacolod, Mandaluyong Mayor Ben Hur Abalos and Boracay.

“Our commitment remains the same. We will keep on staging this kind of tournament for the untapped Filipino amateur boxers all over the country,” said Edgardo “Boy” Cantada.
