PBA Legends suit up for charity match

MANILA, Philippines - Crispa stars Atoy Co, Bogs Adornado and Philip Cezar return to the hard court Sunday, heading a cast of cage legends up against the Daniel Razon-led Hoopsters team in a charity match at the Cuneta Astrodome.

Freddie Hubalde, Orly Bauzon, Bong Alvarez, Jerry Codinera, Kenneth Duremdes, Jun Limpot and Vergel Meneses are the other Legends strutting their stuffs in the event held to generate funds for the scholarship program of Razon.

The game is set at 4 p.m. with special events for lucky watchers up at halftime.

“This is an interesting event. We’ve seen the Hoopters. They have the talent to play for the teams in the UAAP and NCAA,” said Adornado during the media launch at the Mang Inasal on Marato avenue in Quezon City.

The Hoopsters versus Legends game is Sports 37 Productions’ follow-up to a fun run event held for the benefit of scholars at La Verdad Christian College in Caloocan City.

Tickets for the Astrodome game have long been sold out, thus, the organizers are looking to bring the event in other venues.

“We might go on a tour, something which the Legends have done in the United States,” said Adornado.
