MANILA, Philippines - The eighth Filipino-Indian Basketball League will kick off its season with the FIBL Fil-Indian Cup on Aug. 29 at the Makati Coliseum.
Registration is ongoing at the FIBL Secretariat at 7629 Guijo St., Barangay San Antonio, Makati. The deadline for the submission of entry forms is on July 19, while the try-out and drafting are set on July 25 at the Makati Coliseum. To be eligible, a player must have at least one Indian parent, and must be a permanent Philippine resident.
FIBL commissioner Dilip Budhrani looks forward to an exciting season at its new home, and welcomes the entry of new players who will be joining the league’s seasoned veterans.
He also reaffirmed the league’s responsibility and commitment to the Filipino-Indian community to continue to foster goodwill, camaraderie, family bonding during Sundays, and sportsmanship through the games.
