MANILA, Philippines - Roy Docyogen tries to keep his win run as he defends his pinweight crown against Jordan Ogo of Saipan in the Colt 45 URCC XVII dubbed as “Havoc” on July 24 at the A. Venue Events Hall in Makati.
Docyogen is one of the rising stars of the famous Team Lakay Wushu and is on a seven-win streak in the popular mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament, including an impressive victory over Alvin Ramirez.
Docyogen’s clash with Team Hagat T’s top bet will be the featured match in the 10-fight event presented by Colt 45 and sponsored by Tribal Gear and Alaxan FR.
Like his popular teammate Eduard Folayang, Docyogen will be banking on his wushu and striking skills against Ogo, noted for his unorthodox style of fighting.
According to Alvin Aguilar, founder and president of the organizing Universal Reality Combat Championship, Ogo’s punches usually come from all angles, thus making it hard to predict his pattern.
Tickets are now available at all Ticketworld outlets (tel. No. 891-9999). For details, log on to www.urccmma.com.
Also on tap in the tournament backed by Solar TV, Solar Sports, 99.5 RT, NU 107, Rogue Magazine, Pinoy Exchange, VRP Medical Center, Christ Sports, Yoshinoya, and SEAIR are the welterweight showdown between Froilan Sarenas of Submission Sports Philippines and Iranian Razi Jabbari and the pinweight match between DEFTAC’s Reggis Amarante against D’Elements Gym’s Chary dela Cruz.
