TRS-Castrol eyes top spot in lateral drifting
MANILA, Philippines - TRS-Castrol Drift Team eyes another big performance as its top three drivers vie for the title today in the third round of the Lateral Drift Championship in Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon City.
Multi-titled drivers JP and Mike Tuason, together with young ace Bjorn Ongtiabok, aim to steer their reliable Mazda BT-50 and the new Mazda RX7 to podium finishes with the big support of Castrol, Goodyear, Mazda, Standard Insurance, Coke Zero, Speedlab, Rota Wheels, Starbright Bodykits, Weapon R, Discovery Suites, Fremuff, OMP, Oakley, Toptul and C! Magazine.
JP Tuason and Ongtiabok will be parading the Mazda BT 50 that created a sensation as the world’s first ever diesel-powered drifting pick-up truck last year.
Mike Tuason, on the other hand, hopes to pull another triumph aboard the Mazda RX7 that created quite a stir as a new car entry in the Philippine GT Championship.
So far, the Mazda BT-50 has been performing excellently for a non-conventional drift vehicle as it bagged the runner-up and third place finishes behind JP and Ongtiabok over the high-powered Sylvia’s of Ryan Agoncillo and Norman Agojo.
