Ford-TRS riders gun for GT diadem

MANILA, Philippines - The Ford Focus-TRS Racing Team looks forward to another fruitful racing weekend with six of its drivers competing for the titles at stake today in the third leg of 2010 Philippine GT Championship at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas.

The team composed of drivers Bobby Horrigan, Bobby Noriega, Ding Dizon, Veli Kaikkonen and Sean Redpath who are vying for the GT125 crown with the backing of Ford, Castrol, Goodyear, Coke Zero, Speedlab, Rota Wheels, Starbright Bodykits, Ultra Racing, Discovery Suites, Fremuff, OMP, Oakley, Toptul, C! Magazine.

The team is enjoying a point lead in the 125 division, on board the new 1.8 Ford Focus race cars, which is performing very well in the past years in Philippine motorsports. The Ford Focus-TRS partnership has won the national touring car championship and other motor sports discipline for the past three years.

“Our win only proved to us the racing championship tradition of Ford cars that even the technology of the new race cars has shown big potentials up against the traditional race cars of choice,” said team manager Mike Tuason.

Ford Group Philippines, the only car manufacturer in the country that has supported motor sports growth in the country in this level, has been in partnership with Tuason Racing School for almost nine years.
