UK Derm backs Celebrity Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Businessman/sportsman Louie Razon Gamboa has thrown his full support to the 2010 Erase Placenta Basketball Celebrity and Corporate Cup which fires off on June 19.

Gamboa, president of UK Derm Pharma, has long been involved in sports, supporting the Philippine Basketball League (PBL) where one of their leading skin care products – Erase Placenta – was the title sponsor.

“It’s our mission to help sports in our little way which we did when we backed the PBL. Now, we’re helping those in the corporate and celebrity world enjoy a bit through this tournament,” said Gamboa.

League commissioner Jacque Ruby expects tough competition in the open division of the two-category event. The other is fun division.

“It’s going to be fun since some celebrities will not only be there to provide entertainment but will also show their basketball skills,” said Ruby.

Gerry’s Grill and PGA cars are the teams to beat in the open division while Access, Burlington and Erase Placenta-Solar are fancied in the fun category.

Joining Gerry’s Grill and PGA Cars in the open division are Accel, Reyes Goto and Martinez Memorial College while Baterina Law office completes the fun division cast.
