Jalandoon tops ABC anniversary bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Denis Jalandoon of Emerald Vinyl rolled a 12-game series of 2716 to capture the Group I crown while Violy Magsakay of Firefly-Royu and Ariel Uy of Boysen Virtuoso bagged the Groups 2 and 3 crowns in the Architects Bowling Club’s 33rd anniversary tournament at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig last week.

Lino Diamante (2703) of Universal Tech/Pansun. Manny Padit (2588) of Philflex Wires and Cables, and Romi de Jesus (2571) of Toto finished second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 1.

Magsakay fired a 10-game series of 1846 to pocket the Group 2 plum while Boyet Libiran (1833) of Crown Pipes, Frederick Chuongco (1821) of Boysen Paints and May Sabater (1763) of Atlanta Ind. placed second, third and fourth, respectively, in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Uy, on the other hand, had an eight-game series of 1290 to capture the Group 3 crown over Pinoy Cruz (1285) of Medwest Tech. Inst., Zeny Prudente (1280) of Toto, and Vic Sison (1257) of Philflex Wires, who came in second, third and fourth, respectively.

Meanwhile, Jalandoon also annexed the “Ric Poblete’s Founders Cup” with 1724, besting Romi de Jesus (1715), Jonathan Lim of Crown Pipes (1703), Paeng Villanueva of Boysen Paints (1701), Ronnie Javier (1687) of Medwest Tech. Noel del Rosario (1652) of Unitec Pipes and Bibs Luzande (1649).
