PSL tankers vie in Bangkok

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Swimming League, whose mission is to develop swimmers on the grassroots and encourage participation in local and international age group competitions, is sending members from the various clubs to the Bangkok International age group swimming meet slated May 22-23.

The Filipino swimmers underwent an intensive two-week training camp conducted by coaches from the Susan Papa Swimming Academy to improve their best personal time for the meet.

Competing in the weekend meet are Hilario Serge Davide IV, Andrea Pacheco, Sean Terrrence Zamora, Inaki and Emmanuel Joshua Lorbes, Andre Arabella and Anton Dominic Abacahin, Josef Dos Remedios, Jan Karlo Fausto, Hans Ramos and Alexandra Nacpil.

Joining them are coaches Susan Papa and Susan Benasa.

More than 400swimmers from China, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and host Thailand are competing in the meet where the age levels of competition are for eight years and under, 11-12, 13-14 and 15 and over for boys and girls.

“Our swimmers will be aiming for the most outstanding swimming awards in their divisions,” said Papa.
