PFF launches youth football at Aseana Business Park
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Football Federation, in cooperation with the Katipunan ng mga Mamamayan ng Bagong Parañaque Inc., launched the Youth Football summer training program at the Aseana Business Park at the SM Mall of Asia grounds last week.
PFF president Mari Martinez and South Africa Ambassador Pieter Vermeulen made the ceremonial kick along with Bill Shaw of the Urban Opportunities for Change and Delfin Wenceslao.
Wenceslao initiated the construction of the football field at the one-hectare vacant lot at the ABP following a meeting with Martinez, Rhoda Orsolino and women’s national football team manager Ernie Nierras.
“I welcome the opportunity to be a partner of PFF,” said Wenceslao.
Shaw’s group, on the other hand, organized the composition of the team which saw action in the recent Homeless World Cup in Milan, Italy.
