Angping Cup on at RMSC

MANILA, Philippines - The Chairman Harry Angping Media Invitational Cup opens today with five teams seeing action at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.

The Philippine Sportswriters Association Pakitang Gilas take on the Philippine Sports Commission in the opening match at 6 p.m.

Also vying for top honors in the double-round tournament are the Defense Press Corps, the DepEd-Eastern Police District Press Corps.  

Invited to do the ceremonial toss is PSC chairman Harry Angping. The games will be held every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. 

Backed by Accel, B-Meg Derby Ace and Powerade, the PSA, under president Teddyvic Melendres of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, is composed of, among others, Francis Ochoa, June Navarro and Cedelf Tupas of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Joel Orellana and Reuben Terrado of Business Mirror, Joey Villar of The Philippine STAR, Francis Santiago and Jonas Terrado of Manila Bulletin, Josef Ramos of Manila Times and Mark Escarlote of Abante.
