MANILA, Philippines - Top seed Bambi Zoleta survived a first-set scare and hung tough in the second frame to repulse Michelle Pang, 7-5, 6-4, and re-capture her singles crown in the third Alcala Open tennis tournament at the Quezon Capital Government Center in Lucena City yesterday.
Johnny Arcilla also scored a cliffhanger of a win over Elbert Anasta, 7-6(3), 7-6(5), to capture the men’s singles title in the annual tournament hosted by the Lucena Tennis Club and held in cooperation with the members of the Philippine Tennis Association.
