Tan PWBL commissioner

MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Women’s Basketball League (PWBL) chairman Butch Pichay has appointed veteran coach Elizabeth “Peque” Tan as the new commissioner of the league for the coming season.

Pichay, also the chair of Below 6Ft Basketball League, likewise named Cirilo “Lee” Soriano as new commissioner of the B6BL.

Both Tan and Soriano replaced Nilo Fernandez, who has been designated vice chairman of the PWBL and B6BL.

These recent developments are in line with PWBL and B6BL programs which will require Fernandez to focus more on planning and development of medium term agenda rather than league operations.
