Diamante, Matiling top ABC bowl

MANILA, Philippines – Nilo Diamante of Universal Tech/Pansun rolled an eight-game series of 1887 to pocket the Group I crown while Charles Matiling of Hocheng Phils. copped the Group 2 title with a 1477 in the Architects Bowling Club’s quarterly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig last week.

Lito Soriano of SP&A Const. had 1403 to rule Group 3, beating Jimmy Ocampo (1360) of American Wires and Albert Ong (1306) of Boysen Konstruct in the weekly event sponsored by Nation and Boysen Paints.

Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by Concrete Venture, Famcor, DN Steel, Boysen Knoxout, Crown Supreme Pipes, Boysen Virtuoso, Supreme Steel Pipes, ABC Phils., ProActive Pest Control, Duraflex, Ta-tong, Euro Dach, Atlanta Tiles, Philflex Wires and Cables, Medwest Tech. Inst. and Firefly-Royu, resumes at 6:30 tonight with the staging of the fun games at Paeng’s bowling lanes in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City to be followed by the first quarterly awards night at Dencio’s restaurant.
