MANILA, Philippines - Kia Motors and Fern-C bested their rivals to win their respective divisions in the sixth Below 6Ft Basketball League (B6BL) held at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Mentored by Bert dela Rosa and backed by Valle Verde, Kia Motors outlasted PTC, 83-68, to rule the Division J of the event supported by LWUA chairman Butch Pichay and Gov. JunJun Ynares of Rizal.
Roland Galang led Kia with 18 points and went on to bag the MVP honors.
Backstopped by Hennesy Tiu, Fern-C topped Division G by beating the team of Mark Chan while MCS won its second B6BL title with a 72-66 upset win over favored team Punta.
Other winners in the event supported by Molten were Petronas which crushed Freego, 74-65, in Division M, Kings, which edged CGI, 88-80, (Division K) and WPS dumped Balibaggers, 82-62, (HPB).
