MANILA, Philippines - The Adamson team of Angela Benting and Lizlee Ann Gata powdered Manel Capouno and Gena Andaya of Letran to rule the PCSO Metro Manila Women’s Inter-Collegiate Beach Volleyball Challenge at the sands court of the Cantada Sports Center in Taguig.

The Lady Falcons showed they had prepared more than the rest of the 10-team field with convincing wins capped by a 21-12, 21-12 score in the finals of this one-day invitational backed by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and organized by Joe Cantada Sports.

Ateneo’s Sarah So and Hiruzette Onishi took second runner-up honors also worth cash and gift certificates from Speedo, a world renowned sports apparel maker.

Other schools which participated in this Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office backed invitational were Far Eastern University and Miriam College.

“And that, ladies and gentlemen, formally kicked off the 2010 Joe Cantada Sports summer sports program. Congratulations to all the participants for this successful sizzler,” said head organizer Edgardo “Tito Boy” Cantada.

The PCSO Metro Manila Women’s Inter-Collegiate Beach Volleyball Challenge wil be viewed in its entirety on the television program Golf Power Plus on primetime NBN 4 and the worldwide The Filipino Channel.
